How Inozyme® Technology is Transforming Food Waste into Valuable Resources

Every Meal Creates Waste. Every Waste Holds Value.

Globally, millions of tonnes of food waste are generated every year by households, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and food manufacturers. Most of this organic waste ends up in landfills, where it decomposes anaerobically and releases methane, a greenhouse gas significantly more potent than carbon dioxide.

However, food waste is far more than just rubbish. It contains valuable organic matter, nutrients and proteins that can be recovered and returned to productive use.

At Promise Earth, we believe food waste should never be the end of the story. Through Inozyme® Technology, food waste is transformed into valuable resources that support agriculture, reduce landfill dependency and contribute to a circular economy.

What is Inozyme® Technology?

Inozyme® is Promise Earth’s proprietary microbial biotechnology platform, developed through Japanese microbial research and engineered specifically for organic waste recovery.

Unlike conventional composting, which relies on natural decomposition over weeks or even months, Inozyme® accelerates the biological breakdown of food waste through a controlled high-temperature aerobic microbial process.

Within 24 to 48 hours, food waste is converted into a stabilised, nutrient-rich organic material suitable for use in agriculture and landscaping.

This rapid biological conversion reduces waste volume, minimises odours and significantly lowers greenhouse gas emissions associated with landfill disposal.

The Science Behind Inozyme®

Every piece of food waste contains complex organic compounds including carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

Using specialised microbial enzymes, Inozyme® accelerates the natural decomposition process by breaking these complex organic compounds into simpler, more bioavailable molecules.

Proteins are hydrolysed into low-molecular-weight peptides and free amino acids, while other organic matter is converted into stable, nutrient-rich organic material.

This controlled biological process allows valuable nutrients to be recovered rather than lost, creating a resource that can be safely returned to the soil.

From Food Waste to Healthy Soil

The output produced through Inozyme® is more than compost.

The biological conversion process produces an organic fertiliser rich in bioavailable nutrients that support healthy soil ecosystems and efficient plant nutrient uptake.

By returning these nutrients to the soil, Inozyme® helps:

  • Improve soil fertility
  • Enhance soil microbial activity
  • Support healthier root development
  • Promote sustainable plant growth
  • Reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers

Instead of becoming landfill waste, food waste completes a natural nutrient cycle.
