Developed through Japanese microbial biotechnology, Inozyme® is the biological engine that powers every Bio-Mate system. Using a high-temperature aerobic process, it transforms food and organic waste into nutrient-rich organic fertiliser, compost or animal feed within just 24–48 hours helping organisations reduce waste, lower carbon emissions and close the loop on organic resource recovery.
The Science Behind Inozyme®
At the core of Inozyme® is a proprietary microbial hydrolysis process that accelerates the natural decomposition of organic matter. Through specialised microbial enzymes, complex proteins are hydrolysed by cleaving peptide bonds into low-molecular-weight peptides and free amino acids. These smaller molecules are more readily utilised in biological processes, enabling the efficient recovery of nutrients and the conversion of organic waste into valuable products ranging from organic fertilisers to functional protein ingredients.
Post-Consumer Food Waste
Food waste collected from households, hotels, restaurants and commercial kitchens is transformed through the Inozyme® biological conversion process into nutrient-rich organic fertiliser. By breaking down complex organic matter into simpler, bioavailable nutrients, the resulting fertiliser supports more efficient nutrient uptake by plants, promotes healthier root development and improves soil vitality. Rather than ending up in landfill, valuable nutrients are returned to the earth, completing a sustainable circular cycle.
